Does the tissue in a penis deteriorate after a certain age if there is no erections? Especailly in older men.

I am talking about actual deteriroation as opposed to ED. Does lack of use increase the problems with ED?|||I've not heard of that issue...but then I don't have a penis.|||Riiiiiight. Do you think your penis will just ROT right off your body if you don't use it enough?

Good grief.....are you kidding me???|||The skin on the elderly certainly thins, but if you are seeing actual deterioration, then that needs to be seen by a doctor as it isn't normal.|||i never heard of that either and i neither have a penis sorry can't help|||Lack of actual use usally isn't the problem because you have maintance erections (the ones you get randomly) that maintain a health blood supply and muscle tone. However with ED you can also loss those maintaince erections and there for have some tissue los but it is usally revesable with treatment.|||But the penis does erect, especially at night.

the problem is lack of rigidity as the valves slowly fall apart|||Erection get nothing to do with the worsening of the tissue in the penis. It's only is a blood circulatory problem and the lack of libido. Penis get no muscle or adipose tissue and usually cavernosa corps are able to works for ever. The problem could be the dorsal vein developing as lon as penis is where the most part of the blood runs, but it's so large that rarely can occlude.|||Not really. As long as your general health is othewise good, your penis should work normally. I'm 57 and I use Viagra to enhance the quality of my erection. It lets me have the kind of sex I enjoyed when I was much younger, but my penis still works normally otherwise. When I masturbate, I have no trouble maintaining an erection.
