Men. Do you believe in the 'male menopause'?

Here is a quote from 'the Daily Mail' regarding the use of testosterone supplements to boost energy levels and flagging libido in men of a certain age.

'However, the use of HRT in men is controversial, with some doctors claiming that symptoms such as hot flushes, sweating, depression and loss of sex drive are just side-effects of being overweight, lazy and smoking and drinking too much.'

What are your views on this? Have any of you tried testosterone supplements and what effects have you experienced?

Thanks |||yes i believe in it because i/ve been going through it for three years and its no fun it can really drive a guy CRAZY |||I absolutely DO believe in male menopause: I'm 54 and went through it -- hot flashes, sweating, loss of sex drive, lack of energy and all. I don't smoke and am usually quite active.

I'm now taking supplemental testosterone shots and feel like I'm in my early 20s again!

|||Why WOULDN'T men suffer the same ill effects of their hormones dropping off like women do? Seriously...

I'm 39, I see an endo and I love love love love love him. There's no reason anyone shouldn't do whatever they can and want to in order to keep their bodies in tip-top shape for as long as possible. Period.

|||Typical daily mail....|||Yes... and also the male mid-life crisis.|||There is no believing in this because it's real. Every guys does through it.
